Important Online Protest Information

If you choose to file your protest electronically, you must:

  • Create an online account if you have not already done
  • If you choose to file an Online Protest, please DO NOT file a paper protest
  • Please add info@mailgov.org to your contact list to prevent notifications from being delivered as SPAM. If you are not receiving emails check your spam or junk folder.
  • You will receive an email that your protest has been submitted. If you do not receive an email within one hour the protest was not successful.

Online Protest allows you to:

  • File your protest
  • Upload any supporting documentation/evidence {i.e. photos or documents}. Please do not email your evidence.
  • View the evidence that Grayson CAD intends to present at the Hearing.
  • Accept or reject a settlement
  • View your hearing date and time
  • Withdraw your protest

Taxpayer Liaison Officer

A taxpayer liaison officer (TLO) must be appointed by the appraisal district board of directors in counties with a population of more than 120,000. The TLO is the appraisal district officer primarily responsible for providing assistance to taxpayers for the district, administering public access functions, resolving disputes not involving matters that may be the subject of a protest and compiling a list of comments, complaints and suggestions related to the fairness and efficiency of the ARB.
